She Adventures NZ Podcast interview
WHY DOES THIS MAMA ADVENTURE?
Senka from She Adventures NZ interviews Dee for the Podcast
24th May 2023
I stumbled across the She Adventures NZ podcast 2 years ago - just a few weeks after we’d just finished tramping Te Araroa. We’d settled down in a new place where we knew no one. It was winter and in the middle of another lockdown. I was feeling pretty low after the kick-ass adventure we’d been on. Real-life felt hard and all too much. I was lonely and felt without purpose.
In walks Senka and her conversations with women asking why they adventure. Those conversations were my mates as I strolled outside in the cold, sparking a feeling of connection and inspiration. I’ve listened to every single episode so you can imagine that I was chuffed as to jump in a have a good yarn with Senka.
You can listen to the podcast here.
I was pretty tired but it sure was honest! Facts and figures were not free-flowing so here’s a list of corrections and resources for you below.
I’ll update this post as I gather more content - so if you’re keen on more trail inspiration and info, sign up to our newsletter!

Oh and I checked, and my kids reckon they don’t comment on other people’s stuff asking why they need it. They love stuff now! Ahhhh...
